PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily lock a measuring piece rotated in response to an execution angle, when measuring a length and the end part execution angle of a brace with respect to a diagonal direction of a diagonal brace execution portion. SOLUTION: The measuring pieces 4, 5 having right-angled engaging parts 42, 43 are turnably pivoted respectively around an axial center orthogonally crossing a longitudinal direction of an expandable rod 1, onto holders 2, 3 provided in both ends of the rod 1, magnetic substance metal plates 48, 58 are provided in the measuring pieces 4, 5, magnets 253, 373 for locking turning of the measuring pieces 4, 5 by magnetic attraction onto the metal plates 48, 58, and locking members 26, 38 for locking the magnets 253, 373 under a noncontact condition with the metal plates 48, 58 are provided movably in the holders 2,3, a yarn 7 is coupled to the one locking member 26, and the yarn 7 is laid with tension along the rod 1 by a bobbin 6 provided in the measuring piece 5.
