PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure fluorescence generated in a liquid containing a plurality of trace samples in preferable conditions. SOLUTION: The method measures many trace fluorescences from a liquid containing a plurality of trace samples. In the method, with a lid having hermeticity and light tightness put on a container containing a liquid containing a plurality of trace samples in a plurality of sites respectively, while fluorescent dyes contained in the sample containing liquid are excited with a light beam passing through the container, fluorescence which is emitted from the sample containing liquid and passes through the container is measured for each sample contained in the liquid.
