PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disengagement of engagement frames of side walls attributable to the twist of an upper portion of a foldable container which occurs when lifting and carrying the foldable container assembled in a box shape by holding facing side walls thereof. SOLUTION: In the foldable container comprising a bottom portion 1 and side walls 2 and 3 hinge-connected to the bottom portion, the facing side walls 3 erected first from the folded condition form an elastic locking tongue piece 5 having a projecting portion 5a, and an engagement frame 4 having fitting holes 4a. A fitting projecting portion 7a inserted in the fitting hole formed in the engagement frame formed in the firstly erected facing side walls is protruded from an engagement frame 7 formed on the secondly erected facing side walls 2. A substantially inverted L-shaped projecting bar 40 is formed along an edge portion of the highest fitting hole out of the fitting holes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
