PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the charging of a drum by a charging member by eliminating the attaching error of a shaft due to the manufacturing error of a resin frame or the like by providing the charging member for imparting the charging by sliding with a photoreceptive drum so as to maintain a constant interval with a drum shaft. SOLUTION: The shaft 33a of a charging brush 33 is supported through arm members 56 and 56a on both sides to the shaft 31a of the photoreceptor drum 31 arranged at the recording part of an image forming apparatus, and the interval between both shafts 31a and 33a is maintained constant. Then, both ends of the shaft 33a is held by a receiving part 55 while the brush 33 is rocked, and the brush 33 is positioned and is provided in the charging, so that the defective contact of the brush due to the manufacturing error of the resin frame 35 or the like is eliminated and a uniform charging is imparted to the surface of the photoreceptive drum.
