PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor capable of realizing easy manufacture by reducing the number of parts used. SOLUTION: In this linear motor having a magnetic portion consisting of permanent magnets 2 between flat plate yokes 1, a plurality of magnet guides 1b with a plurality of half blanking protrusions are formed in the lengthwise direction of the yoke 1 and in a plurality of rows in the cross direction on a surface 1a where the permanent magnets 2 of the yokes 1 are fixed. The permanent magnets 2 are fixed between the magnetic guides 1b of the yokes 1. Thus, the permanent magnets 2 can be positioned on the yokes 1 with high accuracy and mounted easily without use of additional parts. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
