PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal frame for a fluorescent display tube, and its manufacturing method, which has a mechanical strength able to stably support a filament anchor base and able to protect a semiconductor device against an inner evaporation material, etc. between a substrate and itself. SOLUTION: The metal frame for the fluorescent display tube for supporting a filament anchor disposed on an anode substrate is made by processing a one-piece metal plate and has an anchor disposing plane section for disposing the filament anchor thereon and a projection drawing section formed on the plane section. The semiconductor device is disposed on the anode substrate, the drawing section is a projection portion able to cover the semiconductor device disposed on the anode substrate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
