摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrate ion adsorbent which has a larger adsorption capacity of nitrate ions as compared with other anions in relation to a nitrate ion-containing solution (for example, containing other anions), removes the nitrate ions effectively without being obstructed by coexistent anions, and can simply be regenerated after being used out. SOLUTION: The nitrate ion adsorbent contains at least one selected from a crystalline complex metal hydrate expressed by formula: M<SP>II</SP><SB>1-x</SB>M<SP>III</SP><SB>x</SB>(OH)<SB>2</SB>A<SP>n-</SP><SB>x/n</SB>-mH<SB>2</SB>O [wherein M<SP>II</SP>is at least one selected from Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II), Fe(II), and Cu(II) or a divalent metal mainly comprising it; M<SP>III</SP>is Fe(III) or a trivalent metal mainly comprising it; A<SP>n-</SP>comprises n-valent anion; x and m meet 0<x≤0.67 and 0≤m≤2], its hydrothermal treatment product, and their heat treatment products as an effective component.
