Relates to a haymaking machine of the kind having at least two juxtaposed contrarotating power-driven rake-heads 11 rotary about vertical axes and mounted transverse to the direction of travel, and driven from a gear-box (Fig. 2) mounted on the frame 10 of the machine, the gearbox incorporating an input shaft 3 and bevel-gearing 7, 8 driving a transverse shaft 9, the input shaft being normally mounted in a bearing plate on the front of the gear-box. According to the invention, the bearing plate 2 carries two input-shafts 3, 4 having different gear-ratios. The shaft 4 carries a pinion in mesh with a crownwheel 6 fast on the shaft 3, thus providing a step-down ratio of approximately 4 : 1. |
