The rotating electrical machine has its stator winding formed from multiple 'U'-shaped conductors connected in series. The diameter of the rounded part (24) of the head of the 'U' (20c), at the level of the internal face is less than the separation of the arms of the 'U' (20a,20b) of a 'U'-shaped conductor. The rounded part extends over an angle of less than 180degrees.
