PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device which displays relevant information of buildings without impairing the visibility of a map even when the device displays the buildings in 3-dimensions. SOLUTION: In this device, a 2-dimensional map drawing part 26 draws 2-dimensional map in a memory 28, using the two-dimensional map data stored in a map data file 27. A 3-dimensional map drawing part 25 displays the buildings on a display device 21 as 3-dimensional images which are seen from a projection direction where frames of the buildings of the 2-dimensional map become visible at ceiling surfaces and displays relevant information of the buildings on the ceiling surfaces of the buildings drawn in 3-dimensions.
