PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage of water detecting band which has been improved corresponding to a floor of complex form, and to provide an arranging method thereof. SOLUTION: A leakage of water detecting band 1 comprises square flat units. A flat unit 2 comprises a pair of water leakage detecting lines 3 and 7 arranged parallel inside of it, recessed notches 5a and 5b provided near the corners in which both square upper and lower sides and left and right sides on the flat surface are symmetric about the center line so that the flat units 2 are combined to act both as front and rear, projections 6a and 6b that engage with the recessed notches 5a and 5b when the front and rear of an adjoining flat unit is inverted, a pair of connection terminals 4a and 4b, 4c and 4d which are provided on the side surfaces of the recessed notch and the projection to connect the pair of water leakage detecting lines 3 and 7 in series between the flat units, and a pair of connection terminals 8a and 8b, 8c and 8d.
