PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum envelope easily adapted to front glasses of various sizes while contriving reduction of a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A spacer 7 interposed between a base substrate and a front glass is formed in a frame shape as a whole, structured of a corner part 71 and linear parts 72A, 72B. The corner part 71 and the linear part 72A as well as the corner part 71 and the linear part 72B are coupled respectively with coupling members 73, a whole part of which is coated with a coating glass.
