PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a buffer mechanism for bearing a seating load from a time point when a seat cushion turns near a seating position, in a small space under the seat cushion. SOLUTION: This seat is provided with an auxiliary function of a type of turning the seat cushion 12 to a forward tilting position where the rear part is pushed from its approximately horizontal seating position by a spring force and the buffer mechanism 30 is disposed in the lower part of the seat cushion 12. The buffer mechanism 30 comprises a cylinder 30a fixed to the side of a base member 10, a piston shaft 30b constantly receiving a resilient force in the direction projecting from one end of the cylinder 30a and a power transmission member 32 disposed in the end side of the piston shaft 30b. It is so set that the piston shaft 30b is pushed in the cylinder 30a against the resilient force via the power transmission member 32 by the turning movement of the seat cushion 12 from a point where the seat cushion 12 turns near the seating position by receiving the seating load.
