PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine organism adhesion preventive processing method capable of surely sticking a marine organism adhesion preventive sheet to the tube plate of a heat exchanger with good workability.

SOLUTION: In the heat exchanger having a cooling pipe bonded to the tube plate and using seawater as cooling medium, a sheet mounting device 5 is mounted on the cooling pipe 4 to retain the marine organism adhesion preventive sheet 3 to be mounted on the tube plate surface in a prescribed position.
