<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulator used for the main insulation in a switchgear which insulator is composed of thermosetting resin which facilitates fractional recovery of insulators. <P>SOLUTION: The supporting insulator 12 for high-voltage equipment has electrodes on the high voltage side and on the ground side. In the supporting insulator 12, an insulating layer 22 is formed by cast molding using an insulating material of thermosetting resin.
