ELECTRON EMITTING ELEMENT, FLUORESCENT LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE USING THE SAME, IMAGE PLOTTING DEVICE USING THE ELEMENT, COOLING ELEMENT, AND POWER GENERATING ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high efficiency electron emitting element, an image plotting device using it, a cooling element and a power generating element.

SOLUTION: The electron emitting element has a substrate, an electrically conductive layer or a semiconductive layer which supplies electrons, an electron emitting layer that emits the electrons, and a control electrode layer disposed via a space with the electron emitting layer that controls the amount of electron emission by applying voltage, wherein an electron emitting element surface having a stable low work function is realized and the high efficiency electron emission is realized, using an oxide crystal material containing alkaline metal or alkaline earth metal for the electron emitting layer.
