DIAGNOSTIC KIT HAVING MEMORY FOR STORING TEST STRIP CALIBRATION CODE, AND RELATED METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic kit for measuring a characteristic of a fluid sample. SOLUTION: This diagnostic kit for measuring the characteristic of the fluid sample is provided with a device for measuring a test strip and a characteristic of the test strip. The device also calculates the characteristic of the sample supplied to the test strip, based on the measured characteristic of the test strip. A plurality of test strip calibration codes is stored in a memory in the device, and those codes represents a plurality of geometric regions in a multi-dimensional calibration parameter space. The test strip calibration codes and the geometric regions are distributed over the multi-dimensional calibration parameter space to reduce optimally a quantization error of assigning one of the test piece calibration codes to the test strip.
