PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from being leaked out of the side part of a blade member and the peripheral part of a blade attaching part by arranging a sealing member on the surface side of a developing device frame in relation to an opening exposing the developing roller of the developing device. SOLUTION: Films 36 and 39 are provided at both side parts and on the front side of the blade member 35 functioning as a layer thickness regulating member for the developing roller 25 arranged oppositely to a photoreceptor drum 12 in the developing device. The sealing member 32 provided on the surface side of the opening of the device comprises foam and is compressed by a supporting plate 34 to prevent the toner from passing through, and it achieves sealing action in cooperation with a back surface seal 37 at both side parts of the blade at the side part of the opening. Then, the sealing action to prevent the toner from being leaked out from the periphery of the opening is excellently performed by the film members 36 and 39. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
