PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the voltage detecting device of a flashing device which is made to detect correctly the voltage of a capacitive element by reducing effect of noise. SOLUTION: The voltage at both ends of a main capacitor 15 is divided by a resistor 16 and a resistor 17 and the divided voltage is inputted to the analog-to-digital conversion circuit 25 of a microcomputer 19. The microcomputer 19 computes the voltage between terminals of the main capacitor 15 by converting the voltage value detected by the analog-to-digital conversion circuit 25 by a voltage diving ratio by the resistor 16 and the resistor 17. Moreover, the computer 19 performs voltage detection N times every prescribed time and performs the straight line approximation of voltage data of the number N of samples obtained by voltage detection of N times using a least squares method to compute the gradient of this approximation straight line. The computer 19 computes a boosted voltage corresponding to the Nth voltage detection timing as to an approximation straight line which passes the average of the voltage data of the number N of samples to make the boosted voltage a charged voltage.
