PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an outdoor unit of an air conditioner by arranging a compressor in a space surrounded by a U-shaped outdoor heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit 3 of the air conditioner is provided with an outdoor heat exchanger 24 and the compressor 21. The outdoor heat exchanger 24 has a nearly U-shape in plan view.
