PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video shooting apparatus in which a function of a still camera and a function of a cam coder are integrated. SOLUTION: The video shooting apparatus has: a main body wherein a tape cassette can be loaded/unloaded; a camera unit which is provided in the main body and has a plurality of camera parts; a display means provided on the main body; a mode detection part for detecting a shooting mode corresponding to any one of the camera parts; and a control part for driving any corresponding one of camera parts in accordance with a signal transmitted from the mode detection par.
