<p>The invention relates to an axle box for railway vehicles , employed as a waggon bogie component. According to the invention, the axle box comprises a body (2) supporting the rotation guiding means of an axle end (roller bearings, bearings, etc.), while, at the base of said body, a support (3) extending on both sides thereof to form two resting plates for the suspension springs. The inner surface of the support (3) is flat and has an inclination angle of 22...24 relative to the horizontal plane, in order to allow the temperature of the axle guiding means to be read, irrespective of the railway gauge.</p> |
