PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the interference by the signals of other narrow-band communication systems to a UWB (ultra wide-band) signal or a UWB repeater in a UWB receiver which carries out UWB communication. SOLUTION: Signals 107a and 107b in a signal band of a known narrow-band communication system are extracted from a received UWB signal 101, using filters 106a and 106b of a known signal extracting part 114a and 114b, and electric power 109a and 109b of the signals are measured in electric power measuring parts 108a and 108b. Subtraction component extracting part 110a and 110b discriminate that the received UWB signal 101 includes signal components of known narrow-band communication system, when the obtained electric power exceeds threshold which is defined beforehand, and signal components 111a and 111b of the narrow band communication system are subtracted from the received UWB signal 101. By this means, the interference from the known narrow-band communication system to the UWB signal is eliminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
