PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus adopting a configuration wherein one common amplifier is employed for a plurality of pixels that much more reduces the pixel read time. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus comprises the arrangement of a plurality of pixel units 1 each having photo diodes 4-1 (first line) and 4-2 (second line) by two lines and an amplification MOS transistor 3 receiving each of signal electric charges of the photo diodes and providing an output and is provided with read circuit systems (22-1, 22-2 or the like) connected to an output line 8 of the amplification MOS transistor 3. Each read circuit system receives a first signal corresponding to a reset level of a gate potential of the amplification MOS transistor, a second signal for superimposing a signal corresponding to the signal electric charges stored in the first line photo diode 4-1 on the first signal, and a third signal a signal corresponding to a summing signal of the signal electric charges stored in the first and second photo diodes 4-1, 4-2 on the first signal and takes a difference between two of the three signals for a plurality of their combinations.
