PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a rise time of disk rotation and to shorten an access time. SOLUTION: A lead-in region 2 and a lead-out region 4 are provided respectively at a most inner periphery and a most outer periphery of a disk 1. An intermediate region held between the lead-in region 2 and the lead-out region 4 is a user data region 3. The user data region 3 is divided into a plurality of zones. The number of sectors in the same zone is same, the number of sectors is increased from an inner periphery side (Z0 etc.) to an outer periphery (Zp etc.). A continuous access region is arranged at an inner periphery side and a random access region is arranged at an outer periphery side in the user data region 3 of a radius direction of the disk.
