<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the unautholized use of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 having an operation panel comprises: an input screen display means for displaying a screen for enabling a user to input identification data for identifying the user who utilizes the apparatus and the authentication data of the identification data on the operation panel; a user authentication means for authenticating the user, based on the specific data inputted by the user and the authentication data; and a utilization authentication means for authenticating the utilization of the apparatus of the user, based on the identification data inputted by the user and data concerned with the time when the user inputs the identification data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
