PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of a system for detecting the position of an electric timepiece. SOLUTION: This system for detecting the position of the electric timepiece comprises a transmission circuit which outputs a plurality of transmission signals from a plurality of output signals of an oscillation frequency dividing circuit, a means which contains a plurality of transmission electrodes transmitting the transmission signals, a rotating body and a reception electrode, and modulates the transmission signals, a reception circuit which inputs the modulation signal of the means received by the reception electrode and outputs the reception signal. The transmission electrodes and the reception electrode are arranged so as to be opposed to the almost entire periphery of the rotating plane of the rotating body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
