PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inspecting a vehicle glass primer coating are provided to precisely measure density and an area of a primer coated on vehicle glass regardless of external illumination and brightness. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for inspecting a vehicle glass primer coating includes a light emitting member(10) installed at a lower portion of an object(11), a light receiving member(20) installed at an upper portion of the object(11) in order to sense light passing through the object(11), and a control unit(30) for checking a coating state of a primer(13) by receiving a sensing signal from the light receiving member(20). The object(11) includes glass installed in the vehicle. The light emitting member(10) includes a light emitting diode for radiating light into the object.
