<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and rapidly separating a high-purity monocyte from a raw material cell fluid containing the monocyte of peripheral blood, bone marrow, cord blood, etc. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for collecting the monocyte comprising passing the raw material cell fluid into a cell separation filter obtained by packing a filter medium for catching the monocyte into a container having an inlet and an outlet to catch the monocyte and recovering the monocyte, the method for collecting the monocyte comprises a process for inactivating a granulocyte in the raw material cell fluid in any stage in the method.
