<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical branch and insertion device which can change the path on optical level, in order to solve the nonconformity of to freely transferring an optical path because the wavelength of an insertion side interface part is fixed, in an optical branching and inserting device of the conventional configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The optical branch and insertion device uses an optical matrix switch which can change the route of signal light from the input port and an insertion port to an output port or a branch port, and an optical separator 12 which separates signal light wavelength multiplexed from a 1st optical transmission line 11 into signal lights of each wavelength, and outputs to the input port of the optical matrix switch, and an optical multiplexer 14, which multiplexes signal lights from the output port of the optical matrix switch and sends out to a 2nd optical transmission line 15, and changes the path on the optical level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
