<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-carriage scanner capable of configuring a data process and a memory capacity or the like with a high efficiency for a recording apparatus and a reading apparatus and adopting a simple configuration without the need for components/processes requiring high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A maximum print width by a recording head is designed to be equal to a maximum read width by the scanner, and furthermore a read position by the scanner is located at a position deviated toward a downstream side of a paper feed direction by several pixels from a print position of the recording head. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
