<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locked loop circuit design using a diode effectively connected to a loop filter capacitor in order to control the leakage current of the loop filter capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: By positioning the diode in series with the loop filter capacitor, the voltage potential across the loop filter capacitor is reduced, thereby reducing also the leakage current of the loop filter capacitor. Moreover, the leakage current of the loop filter capacitor is controlled so that the leakage current does not exceed the current flowing through the diode. Control and reduction of the leakage current of the loop filter capacitor lead to more reliable and stable locked loop circuit behavior. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
