PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data distributing method with which contents comfortable for a user are distributed.

SOLUTION: When a distribution request packet is received from a new receiving apparatus 300 while contents are distributed with a multi-cast address, a distribution apparatus 200 redirects a distribution admission packet containing the multi-cast address under distribution (consent). Next, when a packet of contents is received from the distribution apparatus 200 by multi-cast, the receiving apparatus 300 sends a request of distributed data containing a serial number (52) of the received first packet and a buffer size required for starting reproduction to the distribution apparatus 200 (notice). Afterwards, the distribution apparatus 200 reads a required packet from a distributed data buffer and transmits distributed data (U43-U51) to the receiving apparatus 300 during the multi-cast distribution backwards from the serial number 51.
