PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet type object carrying device capable of smoothly and stably removing a light shielding bag after a package is charged, and preventing move of objects when the light shielding bag is removed from the package even in a case where thickness of the package of the objects packed in the light shielding bag has fluctuation, and carrying method. SOLUTION: In this carrying device, the package P of a number of films F stacked and light-tightly packed in the light shielding bag B is charged on a table 3, and the light shielding bag is removed from the package placed on the table, so that the films can be carried outward. The table 3 is provided with guide members 42, 43 to guide both surfaces of the light shielding bag when it is removed while preventing move of the films.
