PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror assembly capable of providing rear viewing and display functions simultaneously. SOLUTION: This mirror assembly for arbitrary rear viewing and display is provided with a reflection layer made of a specific material. The reflection layer 11 is composed of a multilayer film made of silicon dioxide/metal/silicon dioxide or titanium dioxide/metal/titanium dioxide and, preferably, has transmissivity of 15 to 60%. Consequently, a driver can confirm an object on a driver's side reflected on a mirror by the reflection of the reflection layer and can confirm active information provided by a display 12 provided on the rear of the mirror.
