PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-use/multi-function water tank, which has a function that makes the tank usable as an emergency boat as well as a basic function as a water tank. SOLUTION: The multi-use/multi-function water tank 30 is made of fiber-reinforced plastic, and is mounted on the roof 32 of a container structure 31 in a removable manner. The water tank 30 has a composite construction comprising a bottom-attached first reservoir 51 with an opening on the top, and a second reservoir 52 with a closed sectional structure, which surrounds the first reservoir 51 and has a water injection chamber 52A. When the water tank 30 is taken out of the roof 32 of the container structure 31 and floated on water after filling the chamber 52A with water, and then four to five occupants get in the first reservoir 51, the water tank 30 obtains buoyancy sufficient enough to prevent it from sinking.
