The invention relates to the field of optoelectronics and is destined for manufacture of filtering lens with variable focal distance, used in fiber-optic data transmission systems and in optical data saving and processing systems. The cylindrical lens contains a core and a shell in the form of a tube, made of plastic material, and the core - as a magnetorheological liquid, in the capacity of which may be used a disperse system of Y3Fe5O12 powder and polyethylsiloxane oil.
