<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which a print job can be cancelled from a printer panel; a trash printing can be avoided; and the trash printing can be avoided even in the event of an emergency in network. <P>SOLUTION: The printer comprises a printing cancellation means in which, when printing data is received from the host; the image corresponding to the printing data is printed; and the image corresponding to the received printing data is printed, the printing is stopped in response to the operation S40 for requesting printing cancellation on the operation panel of the printer; running over processing S70 is performed on the received printing data to a code that indicates a predetermined break; and a data cancellation request S90 is transmitted to the host to stop the transmission of the printing data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
