<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of deformation and breakdown of a heat exchanger main body by thermal stress, and to minimize a bypass flow flowing between the heat exchanger main body and a case. <P>SOLUTION: This laminate type heat exchanger 10 is provided with the heat exchanger main body 11 formed by laminating tubes, for fluid flow, and fins aternably, and the heat exchanger main body 11 is housed in the case 12. Spaces S1 and S2 between the periphery of the heat exchanger main body 11 and the inner surface of the case 12 are sufficiently opened to arrange the heat exchanger main body 11 in the case 12.
