<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration unit for selectively removing leukocytes from a liquid containing platelets, for example, blood or a blood component, and also to provide a bag system comprising the unit. <P>SOLUTION: The filtration unit comprises an external enclosure 2 having at least one inlet 3 and at least one outlet 4. The enclosure 2 encloses a fluidized bed 5 made of at least one layer of a nonwoven fabric 9 based on a polyurethane treated with a gas plasma and containing a medium 8 for removing the leukocytes by adsorption or filtration.
