<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a power feeder for a steeply sloped conveyance carriage by reducing the size of the power feeder which conveys work materials or the like to a steeply sloped ground, and to reduce the hanging cost of a feeder conductor hung along a track. <P>SOLUTION: This power feeder for the steeply sloped conveyance carriage is provided with a charging/discharging apparatus capable of solely or complementarily driving a motor by fetching electric power discharged from a motor for traveling a conveyance carriage, DC-DC converting it with a converter, and storing regenerative power to be outputted in a battery while the conveyance carriage is being lifted down by its dead weight.
