<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable platform fence apparatus, by which a platform can be used in common in the case of the mutual extension of the rail road, even for the trains made up of different type cars. <P>SOLUTION: A fence member 40 is uprightly arranged on a platform 10. A movable fence 50 is supported by the fence member 40. When one side of the fence member 40 is located near the door of the train or when the other side of the fence member 40 is located near the door of the train, the movable fence 50 enters the fence member 40 from the side of the fence member 40 corresponding to the door of the train and projects from the fence member 40 toward the opposite side of the side of the fence member 40 corresponding to the door of the train in order to open the entrance for the train.
