HIGH PERFORMANCE IMPULSE RESTRICTION MECHANISM OF HEAD GIMBAL ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head gimbal assembly having a strong impact-restriction mechanism. SOLUTION: The head gimbal assembly has a gimbal formed from a sheet with a restriction apparatus in advance of installing to a loading beam structure. The restriction apparatus has a pair of flange extension parts respectively having an arm extension part. The flange extension parts and the arm extension parts are curved around the tip of a loading beam so as to interpose the restriction apparatus around the loading beam. The width of the arm extension parts is smaller than that of the flange extension parts to provide a space for adjusting the tilting postures of an apparatus in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction after assembling.
