PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically amend the attachment of a dye to a finger in an artificial incense composition. SOLUTION: This incense composition comprises one or more kinds of oily dyes or one or more kinds of organic pigments selected from the oily dyes and the organic pigments, or a combination of one or more kinds of the oily dyes and one or more kinds of the organic pigments as a coloring matter, preferably, a monoazo-based, disazo-based, quinoline-based oily dye and a disazo-based, quinoline-based, naphthol-based or lake-pigment-based organic pigment. As a result, the problems wherein the incense composition stains a towel, or the like, by the dye attached to the finger from the surface of the incense composition when actually using the incense composition by summing up the incense composition if the finger is wetted, which is the defect of using a water-soluble dye, and by the dye attached to the finger from the surface of the incense having fine fragments and fine powder formed from the incense composition by the shock or the like in a transportation process are solved.
