PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skew correction apparatus capable of improving precision of skew correction by correcting skew of a paper sheet on a conveyance path which is fed toward a resist part from a paper loading part before it reaches the resist part, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: A plurality of conveyance rollers 71 and skew detection members 77 detecting a skew condition of the paper sheet during conveyance are arranged at a predetermined interval and a drive member 75 driving singly in such a way rotation speed of the conveyance roller can be changed based on the detection information from the skew detection member is arranged in the conveyance path from the paper loading part to the resist part.
