PURPOSE: Provided are an agent for the control of gametophytic self-incompatibility and a control method of gametophytic self-incompatibility using the same, thereby achieving pollination by self-pollen stably. CONSTITUTION: An agent for the control of gametophytic self-incompatibility is characterized by containing a copper(II)- or zinc(II)-complex represented by the formula(1) of MLn, wherein M is Cu¬+2 or Zn¬+2, L is the lipophilic ligand binding to M and n is an integer of 1 or more.
