Evacuated concentric solar collector tube based on the Dewar-principle comprising an inner glass tube (2) provided with a spectral-selective surface coating (6) and enveloped by a second glass tube (1). The interjacent space (3) is highly evacuated and contains a ring-getter (4) which deposits as a getter film (5) when activated. With current thermosyphon systems tube (2) is completely filled with a liquid coolant with an inherent significant thermal capacity. To eliminate this disadvantage a closed extra glass tube (7) is inserted into tube (2) in such way that a narrow space (8) remains with a little coolant therein. To initiate natural flow said collector tubes must be placed inclined. |
