<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost image forming apparatus in which jam processing can be carried out easily. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming part 60 forming an image by transferring the image formed on a photoreceptor 11 to a sheet P and fixing it, a paper feeding device 30 carrying a sheet P provided below an image forming part 60 to the image forming part 60, a paper ejecting part 70 which is provided above the image forming part 60 and with a top surface part 61 on which the sheet P is loaded and a side surface cover 71 opening a carrying path 33 of the sheet P which can be freely opened and closed are provided in the image forming apparatus and an image is formed by having the sheet P carried approximately vertically by the paper feeding device 30 while having an image formed on the sheet P at the image forming part 60 and the sheet with the image formed on it is ejected to the top surface part 61. An exit guide plate 72 guiding the ejected sheet P from a fixing device 50 to the top surface part 61 is provided in the side surface cover 71. Furthermore, when the carrying path 33 is opened by the side cover 71, the ejecting path of the sheet is opened by the exit guiding plate 72. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
