PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method with high precision and reliability, which automate a portion or all of works relating to an analysis of formed elements in spinal fluid in an automatic process analyzing the formed elements such as blood cells or the like contained in the spinal fluid by using image analysis technologies. SOLUTION: The apparatus for analyzing the formed elements in the spinal fluid and identifying the cell components is provided with a means which photographs fluid to be tested on a floodlit plate or in a flow cell, and a means which processes photographed images and identifies subcellular components.
