PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method by which polysaccharide derivative can be supported uniformly by porous carriers. SOLUTION: In the producing method, the porous carriers come into contact with a solution of the polysaccharide derivative by means of agitation in an agitation device, and the porous carriers support polymer compounds with an optical activity. The method comprises a two-axle vertical type of the agitation device, and the porous carriers support the polysaccharide derivative so that the amount of support is not less than 23% by mass.
